As the wave of artificial intelligence continues to reshape the world, National Central University (NCU) held the “NCU COMPUTEX 2026 Watch Party” on June 1 at the International Conference Hall of the Kwoh-Ting Building. Featuring a live broadcast of NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote speech, the event combined interactive experiences, lucky draws, and campus activities to create an immersive AI technology celebration for faculty and students alike.
Organized by the College of Management at NCU and sponsored by major industry partners including NVIDIA and Acer, the event received an overwhelming response upon opening registration. All 420 seats were fully booked within just one hour, making it the largest campus watch party in Taiwan and demonstrating the university community’s intense interest in AI and global technology trends. Attendees also had the opportunity to win GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards and various computer peripherals through lucky draws, further fueling the excitement of the event.
NCU Vice President Chi-Hung Juan stated that artificial intelligence has become a key driving force behind global industrial and social transformation. Universities, he noted, are not only centers for knowledge transmission but also vital hubs for cultivating interdisciplinary AI talent. NCU hosted the National Intercollegiate Athletic Games in both 2018 and 2026, and remains the only university in the history of the Games to include esports competitions. Beyond academic research, NCU has actively expanded AI applications into sports analytics and other innovative fields.
Vice President Juan further pointed out that Jensen Huang is one of the most influential figures in global high-performance computing. Born in Taiwan and educated in the United States, Huang developed grit and an innovative spirit through his cross-cultural upbringing, eventually leading NVIDIA to become a global leader in AI innovation. Juan encouraged students to seize this valuable opportunity to gain inspiration from international technology trends while cultivating innovative thinking, a global perspective, and the resilience needed to face future challenges.
In addition to the live broadcast of the keynote speech, the event featured early-bird check-in activities, interactive experience zones, group photo sessions, and lucky draws. Hands-on booths and AI technology showcases were set up on-site, allowing participants to explore the latest technological achievements through direct interaction.
In recent years, National Central University has actively promoted AI education, sustainable technology, and interdisciplinary learning. Through industry-academic partnerships and international collaboration, the university aims to equip students with future-oriented core competencies. Moving forward, NCU will continue to strengthen AI research, industry synergy, and cross-disciplinary applications, creating an intelligent learning environment that helps shape and lead future global technological advancement.
