At the 2024 Asia-Pacific and Taiwan Sustainable Action Awards ceremony, organized by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, National Central University's University Social Responsibility (USR) programs were recognized with one gold and two silver awards. The projects "Hi! Go Sustainability within Your Worlds: Suitable Taoyuan Coast Development, and Cultivating Multinational Partners' Sustainability" and "Sustainable Existence: Inclusive Technology and Inclusive Entrepreneurship Education for the Disabilities in Taoyuan" received accolades from both the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Action Award (APSAA) and the Taiwan Sustainable Action Award (TSAA).

The "Hi" project is an international cooperation initiative of the university’s third-phase USR programs under the category of sustainable development, focusing on the ecological, living, and economical aspects of Taoyuan’s coastal areas. In collaboration with residents and Taoyuan City government agencies, the project employs strategies such as coastal monitoring, conservation efforts, environmental education, and social enterprise development to foster sustainable coastal communities and recreate the charm of the Taoyuan coast. This project earned two silver awards from both the APSAA and TSAA.

The "Sustainable Existence" project, a new initiative of the university’s third-phase USR programs, aims to enhance the well-being of people with disabilities in Taoyuan by integrating interdisciplinary expertise. The project promotes inclusive entrepreneurship and accessible technology, contributing to a more inclusive society for the disabled. This project was awarded gold at the TSAA.
