In the era of AI, society needs to have dialogues with AI from multidimensional humanistic perspectives, reflect on the relationship between AI and humans, and offer more possible approaches that embody humanities and humanism. Therefore, on March 15th, National Central University (NCU) held the inauguration ceremony for the "Human-Centered AI Research Center" at the Humanities and Social Science Building. The aim is to foster discourse and integration across fields such as philosophy, psychology, literature, medicine, education, art, and history, providing not only research and development for the domestic AI industry but also a framework imbued with the meaning of human existence to enhance the overall human experience.

Comprised of three professors from the Graduate Institute of Philosophy at NCU and five professors from various departments within the College of Liberal Arts, the Human-Centered AI Research Center will organize ongoing forums and invite international scholars in the field to engage with NCU's community. By establishing an international platform for exchange, the center seeks to catalyze interdisciplinary collaboration and construct an AI ethics framework with Eastern humanistic thought. Furthermore, it aims to become a distinctive research center for AI and cultural innovation in Taiwan, leading at the forefront of international research.
