Organized independently by students at National Central University (NCU), the "Kaka Music Festival" and "Pinecone Speed Test Competition" took place over two bustling days from March 9th to 10th. Fourteen bands took turns performing, drawing in thousands of spectators to sway to the music together. The highly anticipated Pinecone Speed Test Competition also took place, showcasing students' skills despite the chilly weather, which did nothing to dampen their enthusiasm.
The Pinecone Speed Test Competition, initiated last year on social media by NCU students Yeh Shao-Chi, Chen Bo-Lin, and Duan Ming-Xi, saw participants giving their all to set records, with speeds reaching up to 130 kilometers per hour. This competition also attracted numerous external participants. Many participants stated their participation stemmed from interest and curiosity, expressing hopes for similar future events.
The organizers expressed their desire for the "Kaka Music Festival" to become a landmark music event in Taoyuan, emphasizing its continuity as a testament to community spirit, promoting sportsmanship, community engagement, and fostering student interaction.
