On January 22nd, President Jou Jing-Yang of National Central University (NCU) and President Mitsuo Ochi of Hiroshima University (HU) in Japan signed a "flagship version" student exchange program at NCU. The agreement stipulates the annual exchange of 100 selected students between the two institutions, incorporating teachers' teaching abroad and students' physical visits. This program marks the largest-scale collaboration and exchange between the two universities, offering significant benefits for students interested in Taiwan-Japan exchange.

The two institutions became sister universities in 2008 and have exchanged approximately 3-5 students annually. The signing of the "flagship version" student exchange program expands this scale to 100 students, symbolizing the steadfast friendship between the two institutions and propelling our collaboration and exchange forward.

During his visit, President Mitsuo Ochi not only signed the student exchange agreement but also toured the Micro Optoelectronics Laboratory, the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering, and the Experimental Center of Civil Engineering at NCU. Through these visits to labs and research centers, he aims to unfold new pages for research exchanges between the two universities.
