On September 26, President Ching-Te Lai presented the 2024 National Excellent Teacher Awards in person to teachers recognized for excellence in education. Professor Tak-Wai Chan, a National Chair Professor from Graduate Institute of Network Learning Technology at National Central University, and his doctoral student, Yu-Feng Lin, the Director of Academic Affairs at Renhe Elementary School in Taoyuan City, both received this prestigious award. Their shared passion for education has made a significant impact on the next generation, exemplifying the integration of technology and humanity in their teaching. The honor bestowed upon this teacher-student pair is rare and joyful news in the field of education!

Their educational philosophy resonates strongly, focusing on stimulating learners' motivation through interest and striving to create a more equitable and high-quality learning environment for future generations. Both of them believe that future competition will center on thoughts and ideas. They emphasize three core concepts: interest, creativity, and habits. By fostering the habit of "beginning with the end in mind" and using "interest" to boost motivation, they aim to unlock children's limitless creativity and potential, ultimately nurturing lifelong learners who contribute positively to society.
