With Taiwan’s extensive highway network, National Central University (NCU), supported by the National Science and Technology Council’s Industry-Academia Cooperation Program, has partnered with Japan’s NICHIREKI GROUP CO., LTD. to launch the innovative pavement inspection technology, “Fuyu Summit II GLOCAL-EYEZ.” This technology enables pavement condition monitoring by simply attaching a smartphone to a standard vehicle, significantly reducing costs and streamlining the process. It achieves net-zero emissions, marking a revolutionary change in Taiwan’s road maintenance.

NCU’s team has long been committed to providing fast, cost-effective, and precise inspection services using the simplest and most accessible equipment, injecting new energy into Taiwan's road maintenance engineering. With the continued support of the National Science and Technology Council, this technology is set to expand further. We hope this advancement, like the iconic peaks of Taiwan’s Jade Mountain and Japan’s Mt. Fuji, will lead globally in pavement inspection technology and continue to shine brightly.
